About me

I’m a CCT qualified Consultant Plastic Surgeon and I love what I do!

I’m a CCT qualified Consultant Plastic Surgeon and I love what I do! I provide all kinds of facial and body aesthetics surgery, but my forte is breast aesthetics – enhancement, reduction and uplift surgery, and male breast reduction.

I know that it can be a bit nerve-racking when you’re speaking to a surgeon about your potential treatment, so it’s always my goal to make sure you’re completely comfortable with me. As a female surgeon, I want you to feel totally secure and know that you can talk to me about anything at all in your consultation. It’s how we can build a good relationship and be happy in being honest with each other – and it’s how you’ll feel empowered to make the decision that’s right for you about surgery.

If you do decide that you’d like me to carry out your treatment, an open and upfront relationship will be so important during your journey. It’ll help us achieve the results you’d like following your procedure.

Making sure that you’re able to get the best possible outcome from your surgery is always my focus. To help to do that, I continue to build on the expertise and knowledge I have, keeping up to speed with new clinical developments and innovations.

Initially, I gained my undergraduate medical degree at the University of Leicester, followed by postgraduate training in NHS hospitals across England. The next step for me was to undertake specialist surgical training, and in 2013 I passed my exams to become a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England – a real milestone for me. I followed that up with a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Education and Membership of the Academy of Medical Educators in 2014.

I began my NHS career in Lincoln in general surgery, and then started to specialise in plastic and burns surgery, as I knew it was the path I wanted to follow. My training continued at several hospitals, where I could enhance my clinical and surgical skills.

In 2019, I started my own aesthetics business, CosMedic, providing services such as dermal fillers, peels, anti-wrinkle therapy, Profhilo treatment, Aqualyx treatment and minor surgery.

I secured a highly competitive national TIG Fellowship which helped me gain subspecialist knowledge in Breast Oncoplastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.

I ran a successful aesthetic practice early on in my Consultant career. I currently treat a lot of my patients at Manchester Private Hospital, which has excellent facilities and a lovely, welcoming atmosphere that reflects my standards of care.

Your care is my top priority. I continue to take up professional development opportunities to allow me to keep up to date with the latest advancements in body aesthetics surgery and keep improving my skills.

I have the following qualifications:

  • BSc – Bachelor of Science
  • MBChB – Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery
  • PGDipClinEd – Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Education
  • MSc – Master of Science
  • MRCS (Eng) – Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England
  • MAcadMEd – Membership of the Academy of Medical Educators
  • FRCS Plast – Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Plastic Surgery)

Being a member of prestigious healthcare organisations allows me to learn new skills and learn about developments in cosmetic surgery – when I access these educational opportunities, my patients are the ones who can benefit from the latest developments in plastic surgery and aesthetics.

I’m a member of the following organisations:

  • Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England – FRCS (Plast)
  • General Medical Council

Throughout my career, I’ve been keen to take up extra educational opportunities because the additional knowledge I gain can help me to provide the very best outcomes for my patients. My experience, combined with my empathy and understanding of each patient’s journey, has led me to gain a number of achievements and accolades during my career. Here are some of my proudest moments to date:

  • I’ve worked in Leicester, London, Manchester, Nottingham and other areas of England. I’m fully UK trained, but also gained Microsurgery Skills in the world-renowned Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore, India.
  • I was awarded, by consultant nomination, an MAcadMEd for Excellence in Teaching.
  • As a trainee, I was a National BAAPS (British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) prizewinner for innovation and outstanding work.
  • I obtained grant funds for research and development in Aesthetic Teaching.
  • I was a Trainee BAAPS representative, focusing on delivering Aesthetic teaching and training.
  • I run a successful NHS cancer surgery practice and I am a key player in reducing the elective waiting list times, meeting two-week wait targets and safe cancer care.
  • I am a keen and successful mentor. I take pride in multi-disciplinary teaching of both surgical and non-surgical with a range of experience in various teaching arenas.

  • I continue to learn and will do lifelong by attending other surgeons’ practices, presenting and attending national meetings, going on accredited courses to top up skills and reflecting on my patients’ feedback.

How I can help you

I know that considering any kind of surgical procedure can seem daunting. Every patient I speak to has their own reasons for getting in touch with me, and I really want to make sure they’re comfortable in talking about what they’d like to achieve after surgery so that we’re on the same page.

There’s no such thing as a silly question when it comes to your procedure. As an experienced Consultant Plastics, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon, I’ve dealt with thousands of patients and so there’s a very good chance that I’ll have been asked the same thing at least once before! Understanding the results you’d like and any concerns you have are all part of the meaningful conversation we’ll have as we explore your surgery options.

I believe that being a female surgeon can bring additional benefits for my patients – it may be easier for me to understand certain concerns someone has, for example, or they may feel less intimidated and more able to confide in me.

By choosing to have your procedure with me, you’ll have a personalised treatment plan with a high level of attention to detail.

I’m my patients’ biggest cheerleader, because I know the effect that surgery can have! What makes me most happy is seeing the difference in my patients’ confidence after their surgery, because I believe that everyone should be able to celebrate their bodies and enjoy living in them.
